Grief & Healing

Coping with Grief

Death creates strong emotions – and grieving is a natural process that eventually leads to healing. But we can’t always cope with our grief alone. Brainard Funeral Home offers the services of a certified bereavement support provider – Jean Dehn. Jean contacts all Brainard clients to compassionately assist them in coping with their loss and will visit you in your home or at Brainard Funeral Home upon your request.

Jean has a Masters Degree in Family Services and Human Development with emphasis in end-of-life.  She has worked in different aspects of hospice.  Presently, Jean volunteers at a hospice house.  She is a member of ADEC (the Association of Death Education and Counseling).  Her educational background includes a Bachelors Degree in Education and Associate Degree in Paper Chemistry.
