On the evening of June 25, 2018, James Lee McCabe passed away in his home, surrounded by loved ones. Heaven has gained an amazing man.

Together, they always put the needs of their children and family first. James is preceded in death by his son, Thomas. In his retirement, he kept busy by grooming and maintaining his 20+ acre family plot of land. He loved planting his huge gardens, even though he would have to wage war on deer, squirrels, and racoons. He also thoroughly enjoyed toying with computers and algorithms in his spare time. James was a marathon runner, his greatest achievement being a 2 time runner of the Boston Marathon, also running in the Chicago Marathon and an ultra marathon.
