Robb Wruck Obit and Card Photo
Robb Ray Wruck, 42, of Rib Mountain, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, November 23, 2017.
Robb was born in Wausau on February 14, 1975 to Dennis (Lana) Wruck and the late Bonnie nee Buchburger Wruck
Robb owned and ran his own construction company, “Robb Wruck Construction.” Robb was a talented carpenter with a good eye for detail and a vision of the final product. His clients appreciated his work ethic and knew he would be honest and treat them fairly.
Robb was a man of many talents and loved living life on the edge. He was a consummate show skier, remembered for his daring and amazing tricks (the “Wruckus”), his showmanship and love of the crowd. He was a member of Wausaqua (Wausau), Tommy Bartletts (Wisconsin Dells), Aqua Skier (Wisconsin Rapids), Kwahamot Water Ski Team (Tomahawk), Plum Skiters (Sayner), Sea World of Texas and San Diego with Water Ski Inc; which also included Germany and Holland. He skied in India for H2O Productions and with team USA in China. Robb received countless awards and accolades for his skiing.
Robb was also a ski and snowboard instructor, enjoying time in Park City, Utah and an AASI examiner.
Robb was a popular race car driver, and known for his back flips off the car whenever he won a race. In Robb’s younger days he was a “crazy good” bowler. There wasn’t a sport he couldn’t master.
He is survived by Ellie Wruck; son, Kyler (Talin Walker); granddaughter, McKinnley; father, Dennis (Lana); brother, Jody (Nikki); sister, Jackie Spahr; step-sister, Heather (Ernie) Koeppel and step-brother, Adam (Debbie) Resch.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3200 N. Mountain Rd, Wausau. The Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to set up a trust fund for Robb’s granddaughter, McKinnley.

Robb- So many great memories as kids running around the racetrack or messing around at my dad shop. Watching you ski was a pleasure and a privilege I’m glad I had. Joking about racing our cars, knowing I would lose because yours was chipped. I will miss all of your posts with your cats, cars and best of all your smile. It hurts knowing that you will not teach my son how to ski, that would’ve been such an honor to have. I wish you would’ve known how many people loved you even though some hurt you; there were so many of us that would’ve been there for you until there was sunshine again. You were a treasure that has been lost too soon. Sending my condolences and prayers to Jody, your son Ky, your granddaughter on the rest of your family.

Robb- I knew you from grade school running around playing kick ball with your leg braces on, to Wausaqua Waterski Shows from the late 80’s – early 90’s. Middle School, High School and just two weeks ago you were standing in front of me at my work seeking items for your construction jobs. You always had a smile & a story to share. Your posts on Facebook of your son, grandchild & your cats that you were so proud of. I’m sorry I couldn’t see the pain behind your smile. I’m sorry for those that who may have hurt you, please know there are many hearts that are hurting because your gone. Sending condolences to Kyler, Jody & Jackie and families at this time.

I have so many memories of Robb from a very young age and when he 1st joined the water ski team i was on. I watched him learn how to ski and then in such a short time he completely and very quickly excelled past everyone who had been skiing for years and he never stopped there he kept right on going till he was the best. Going to miss that smile of yours. Sending Prayers out to Robb’s family during this difficult time.

We just bought our house this spring and had the privilege to meet Rob while him and Randy sided our house this summer. He was a very honest, hard working man, and they made such a good team. Thru our conversations with him he really opened up and he was truly a good man. I am so thankful our house was and always will be sided by wruck construction! We are feeling for family and friends at this horribly sad time. He was full of life and I can say he was our friend too in just a week.
With love and care, Jeremy paquette and Stephanie pynn.

I was shocked and saddened at hearing the news of Robb’s passing. I grew up having connecting backyards with Robb, Jackie and Jody. Many childhood memories with him (them). Most recently, enjoyed going to State Park Speedway and rooting loudly for my old neighbor and keeping in touch via Facebook. He still lived in the same house by my parents & they took the news pretty hard as well, having been good neighbors for years now. Condolences from the Conger & Delgado families. May God grant you an extra measure of His peace and comfort during this time of mourning and may you reflect on the life that was with great joy and may it help in healing broken hearts…..

I met Robb while on vacation at Granite Peak. To me the guy was a total stranger and after a beer or two we got to talking about my snowbard set up. He taught me a great deal about setting up my snowboard stance in a matter of a few minutes and I never would have been the wiser. We had several more beers together over the course of the next few days and my riding improved each time. He was completely selfless and just wanted to help and see my skills improve. Hearing of his passing was a shock and I’m very sorry for his family.

    My sincerest condolences.
