Bernice "Bernie" June Raugh, 88, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away at her home on Monday, February 19, 2018. Formerly of Wausau, WI, she had been a seasonal resident of Bonita Springs for 23 years and became a full time resident in 2016. She was born November 21, 1929 in Stratford, WI, the daughter of Melvin and Sophie (nee Schnelle) McCrory. After graduating high school in Stratford, she attended the College of Cosmetology in Madison, WI. She married her husband, Calvert C. Raugh, on August 27, 1949. The couple moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she worked until June 1950, then moved to Wausau where they resided until 2016. Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Calvert (Cal) Raugh; her beloved daughters, Patrice M. Dolan of Bonita Springs, FL, Linda A. Allen of Bonita Springs, FL, Holly T. (Gary) Trembath of Wausau, WI, Susan E. (Eric) Kramer of Shoreview, MN and Julie M. Greiber of Madison, WI; nine cherished grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Allen, Jason (Angelina) Colcord, Jared Colcord, Kate (Mark) Demien, Molly (Alan) Stenger, Ben Kramer, Evan Kramer, Charlie (Leah) Greiber and Bryce Greiber; and seven treasured great grandchildren, Austin and Shaun Allen, Charlie Belle Colcord, Lydia and Eli Demien and A.J. and Katie Stenger. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cleo and Tom Tyskiewicz, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to honor Cavette Henry, her full time home caregiver for the last six months of her life. Bernice was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a great love of her family and was always there when needed to help and guide them. She was very active throughout her life and enjoyed golfing, curling and bowling. She was a great cook and baker and was well known for her zucchini bread, rhubarb pie and very tasty hors d'oeuvres. She loved flowers and plants and they did well under her care. Bernie will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends. May she now rest in peace in the arms of Jesus, her friend and savior. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Resurrection, 621 N. 2nd Ave, Wausau, WI, on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Monsignor Mark Pierce will be the celebrant.
