Charles Gordon Lehman, left this world on April 23, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 4, 1936, in Ohio, Charles carried the independent spirit of his birthdate with him throughout his life.
Charles was the youngest of 4 children. He grew up without knowing his parents and being separated from his siblings at a young age. He spent his youth working on various "work farms" until he turned 18 and was able to leave this life. Chuck was a hard worker and never used his childhood as an excuse or for sympathy. Chuck held various jobs but spent most of his life as an over the road truck driver. Chuck had great sense of direction and still remembered the beautiful areas of the US that he traveled. Chuck continued to drive until the age of 84. Chuck loved to go fishing, hunting, going to the casinos and having a good cigar. Chuck lived by the motto: "Don't sweat the small stuff." Chuck was famous for his spaghetti sauce which included ribs, sausage and meatballs and various spices. Chuck loved everyone and often considered friends to be a part of the family. Chuck never wanted anyone to go out of their way or be inconvenienced on the account of him even as the family has made his final arrangements.
Chuck met his first wife, Rose, while working at a commercial laundry facility in Youngstown, OH. He married Rose on April 1. Rose and Chuck together raised 4 children (John, Charles, Troy and Theresa). After 42 years of marriage, Rose passed away in their home.
Chuck did not expect to find another woman to love until he met Shirley (Witz) Shelton while working at Straight Shot Trucking. Shirley was his trainer and she had "an eye" for her new trainee. Chuck and Shirley were married on May 28, 2005. Shirley also proceeded Chuck in death.
Charles is survived by his children Theresa (Kendel) Frisinger, Troy (Tina) Lehman, Chuck Lehman and Tammy Seefeldt. His step children include Gloria (Brian) Bisping, Charles (Krissy) Bouton, Steve (Kristy) Bouton, George, and Willy (Leah) Bouton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, DeeDee, Jim, Dale, his wives Rose and Shirley and his son John. He was blessed with at least 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
