Delores Ruth Anderson, 95, entered into eternal rest on February 6th, 2024. Delores was born at home in the Town of Texas, Marathon County, to Charles and Mayme (Kittel) Schwede on June 11th, 1928. Delores married Eugene (Andy) Nailus Anderson on August 17, 1946 at Mission Evangelical Church, where she was a member all her life. She served as Treasurer there for almost 50 years, and was the organist and pianist for many years. Delores was also a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Ladies Aid, serving in many offices. She was employed at Marathon Battery, then Kresge and Kmart until retirement. She volunteered at the Talent Shop for 20+ years. Delores also volunteered as a head cook for Camp Blessing, especially enjoying the handicapped children.
Delores is survived by sons, Gary D. (Estelle) Anderson, Mark N. (Janeen) Anderson, Brian C. (Julie) Anderson; daughters, Gloria J. (Thomas) Pagel, Marcia M. (Jon) Graveen; grandchildren, Christopher (Jamie) Anderson, Philip (Tanya) Pagel, Ruth Lashua, David (Andrea) Graveen, Michael (Rebecca) Graveen, Ashley (Thomas) Brock, Dr. Katherine (Collin) Anderson, Deborah (Michael) Stencil, Joel (Angela) Anderson; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Edward, Charles Jr, and Billie Schwede, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene, 2 sisters: Belvajean Tritten, Marilou Newman, 2 brothers: Morris and Donald (Pete) Schwede and grandson Eugene Pagel.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mission Evangelical Church (243734 Camp Blessing Road, Wausau WI 54403). Elder Jeff Tritten will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 9:00 am until the hour of service at the church. Burial will follow at Mission Evangelical Cemetery (162324 Granite Rd, Wausau, WI 54403)
