Duaine May Pieper passed away July 15, 2018 at the Gardens Apartments in Wausau, Wisconsin, after a lengthy struggle with melanoma.

Some of the many hobbies she enjoyed included macrame, quilling, sewing, knitting, and quilting.  In her later years, she spent countless hours knitting infant hats for Aspirus Hospital.  As her husband's health failed she turned much of her attention to his loving care.
The final years of her life were spent in her home at the Garden Apartments.
Duaine is survived by her sons Scott (Kathie) Pieper of Merrill, Mark Pieper of Wausau, daughter Jane (Jim) Garrett of Rochester, MN, and grandchildren Conner and Allison Garrett of Menomonie.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ester and Norman, brother Tom, and husband Carroll.
