Edward Dietel

Edward J. Dietel, 68, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 on Northern Reflections at Mount View Care Center in Wausau. Eddie was born in Marshfield on June 6, 1949 to the late Edward P. and Agnes G. (King) Dietel. He graduated from high school in 1967. Upon graduation, Eddie joined the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1969. After his service in the USAF, Eddie began his employment at the Paper Mill in Menasha. Throughout his life, he lived in Mosinee, Stevens Point and Wausau. Eddie was a whiz at jeopardy, he enjoyed stopping at the Mint Café for a sandwich or taking a walk over to the Alibi to have a beer. Eddie is survived by his brothers, Robert, William, Joseph (Brenda Novak) and James (Jenny) Dietel; his sister Carollyn (Jim Wolfgram) Obremski; as well as six nieces and nephews and five great-nieces. Beside his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his brother Richard. Private family services will be held per Eddie's wishes. The family wishes to thank all of the staff and caregivers who were there for Eddie.
