Gordon "Mr. Ski Doo" Radtke, Jr., of Wausau, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017. Gordy was born April 2, 1955 in Duluth, Minnesota to Annette and Gordon Radtke, Sr. He graduated high school from Duluth East then attended college, before starting his career at Bombardier, now (BRP) where he spent 32 years. He was involved in many activities, clubs, groups, and associations throughout his years including boy scouts, EAA Ultra Lite Chapter 75 (North Central WI Lite Flyers), snowmobiling, endure racing, ice track oval racing, fishing Lake Superior and the cabin life in Tripoli, WI. Gordy had one of the most inspiring outlooks on life, coupled with an infectious sense of humor which made him not only a legend in the motorsports world but an iconic friend and family man. Gordy is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Becky Radtke; two daughters, Jamie (Wade) Johnson of Brule, WI, and Nikki (Scott) Singler of Ashland, WI; son Tyler (Megan Rippberger) Radtke of Duluth, MN; step-son Jake (Melissa Zastrow) Toldness of Wausau, WI; four sisters, Gail (Warren) Nuechterlein of Stephensville, MI, Greta (John) Martin of Millville, MN, Gwyn (Marc) Curran of Duluth, MN, Heidi Kelly of Minnetrista, MN; four grandchildren, Callie Johnson, Payton Radtke, Jace Johnson, Mesa Singler, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annette and Gordon, and nephew, Nicholas Martin. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31 at Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center - Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, WI. Rev. Wes Jedras will preside. The family will hold visitation from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the Funeral Home. A "Celebration of Gordy" will be held at Dale's Weston Lanes following the service.
