Grace Flaker

Grace M. Flaker, 87, of Hatley, passed away April 29, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Grace was born December 18, 1930 in Wausau to the late Joseph and Martha (Gajewski) Breske. She married Frank W. Flaker, who preceded her in death in May 2012. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening- especially flowers, embroidering, and reading. Grace was a longtime member of the Rosary Society of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. She is survived by sons Tom (Sheryle) Flaker of Hatley, Ed Flaker of Hatley, Richard (Terri) Flaker of McHenry, IL, Mike (Patti) Flaker of Hatley; daughters Connie (Dale) Maier of Wausau, Mary (Steve) Kleman of Neenah; brother Stanley Breske of Wichita Falls, TX; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; brother, Joseph Breske; and sisters in law Betty Breske and Donna Breske. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 5:00 pm at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, 6455 Hwy 153, Bevent with a visitation from 3:30pm until the time of Mass with a parish rosary conducted by the Rosary Society at 4:00pm. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Father Augustine "Gus" Bentil will officiate. Brainard Funeral Home- Everest Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
