"Jane" Marian Rohloff

March 14, 1931 — July 4, 2018

“Jane” Marian (Luttrell) Rohloff, 87, Schofield, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Rennes Health & Rehab surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was born March 14, 1931 to the late Bart and Marian (Coffin) Luttrell. She married Jerry Rohloff on July 3, 1954 at First United Methodist Church, Wausau.

Jane graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in education. She taught elementary school for 24 years, serving in Eau Claire and Wausau. She also served on the D.C. Everest School Board where she was able to hand her children their diplomas at graduation. She earned various awards for being an excellent educator as well as being elected “Wausau Woman of the Year” for her involvement in the community. Jane and Jerry served with local, state, and national chapters for organizations like Ducks Unlimited and the Wisconsin National Guard Enlisted Association where they traveled across the country attending conferences into their retirement.

Jane was a strong-willed individual who loved to socialize with her friends and family. As an educator, she was extremely crafty and her love for children was endless. She would make sure that every holiday and birthday was special for her children and their families. Some of her many interests included music, and enjoying trips to the casino with Jerry and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jerry; children Jerri Lynn (Ken) Hoehn, Jeff (Diana) Rohloff, Jeanne Rohloff, Jill (Gary) Myles; sister, Audrey Lee; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson Eric Rohloff.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. A Prayer Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Man of Honor Society of Marathon County.
