Janet Kunzak

Janet A. Kunzak, 79, passed away on November 1, 2017. She was born on February 9, 1938, in Ironwood, Michigan. She married Elwood (Woody) Kunzak in 1972. Janet worked at Marathon Electric for 32 years. She had volunteered at Mount View Nursing Home and enjoyed traveling and going up north with her husband to their cabin. She also enjoyed attending craft shows and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. She especially enjoyed going out to lunch with friends. She loved animals - especially dogs. Janet was known to be spunky and very outspoken. If she had something to say, she'd say it. She was preceded in death by her husband in December of 2000. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley and Carol, and one brother; Ricky. She is survived by three sisters, Loretta, Judy, and Violet, and two brothers, Al and Lenny. A Prayer Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Restlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4710 N. Troy Street, Wausau. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 600 Stevens Dr., Wausau, WI 54401. Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center - Wausau Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
