Jeanette "Corky" Green

Jeanette "Corky" Green, age 82, of Schofield WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Wellington Place in Rib Mountain, Wisconsin.

Jeanette Mary Pregont was born November 10, 1942, to the late Leslie and Ethel (Voight) Pregont in Eagle River, Wisconsin. She attended Wausau Senior High School and graduated in 1960.

She was a proud varsity cheerleader for the 1960 State Boys Basketball championship team and was a member of numerous clubs and groups. She remained an active member of the reunion committee.

After high school she married Richard Green (Schofield) and had two children, Jodi (Wausau) and Patrick (Hastings, MN). She worked for the City of Schofield as a Librarian and spent many years as Assistant City Clerk and as an Election Judge. She was an excellent bowler and avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Jeanette will be remembered for her caring spirit and always putting others first. She attended every one of her children's sporting events and concerts. She was proud of her grandchildren, Rylee (Woodbury, MN) and Manny (Crookston, MN). She enjoyed reading, growing the most beautiful flowers on her backyard deck, and taking shopping trips. Friends and family will remember her sweet tooth, especially ice cream.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Wayne and Noel Pregont and her sister Charmaine Osborn.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, with visitation one hour prior to service at Brainard Funeral Home, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, WI, 54476.
