Judy Rae Bargender passed away April 27th, 2018. Judy was born on January 28th, 1961 to Carol Reich and Dell Engman in Wausau, WI. She was one of six children. Judy had two daughters who fought her cancer battle alongside her, Katie Ulrick and Kimberly Bargender. She was also loved very much by her son-in-law James Ulrick and two grandchildren, Jacob and Brynlie Ulrick. Judy was married to Scott Bargender for many years and following their separation, she looked at him as a best friend. Judy was always the go-to for our whole family, whether or not she was in pain or ill, she always put everyone else's needs first. Judy's two grandbabies were the light of her life and not a day went by that she didn't get multiple calls from her grandson "JJ" to tell her all about his day. She enjoyed casino trips, fishing, cross stitching, Christmas time and snuggles from her two dogs and cat. Her survivors include siblings, Jane (Dennis) Fehlhaber, Mary (Steve) Thornewell, Ann (Tom) Goetsch , Dale Engman and brother-in-law Glen Patterson; step sister Dawn Troyer; nieces and nephews Kevin Fehlhaber, Tami Albee, Patti Thornewell, Phil Marten, Josh Marten, Lynn Mahaffey, Tony Patterson and Sidney Engman, along with many great nieces and nephews. As Judy's time with us ended way too soon, her family and friends will miss her dearly and will always remember her for her contagious laugh and warm hugs. Judy is preceded in death by her sister Ellie; father Dell, step-father Raymond Reich and her maternal and paternal grandparents. A funeral service will be held at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, on Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Craig Swenson of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
