Kong Meng Xiong, 22, of Wausau, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Kong was born in Marshfield on December 20, 1995 to the late Pao and Sia (Vang) Xiong. Kong was proud to be an active serviceman in the Army National Guard. He was full of life and found great happiness in rapping, spending time with his nieces and nephews, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Kong is survived by his brothers and sisters, Tou Xiong, Lily Xiong, Charity (Robert Yang) Xiong, Vang Shoua Xiong, PhaNhia (Andrew) Van Pietersom, Jenny Xiong, Ka Youa Xiong, Joey Xiong and Bee Xiong. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Brainard Funeral Home-Wausau Chapel, 522 Adam Street, Wausau. Services will be performed by Major Ron and Major Carol Lemirand. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park, where full military honors will be given.
