Larry David Baumann, of Wausau, passed away unexpectedly at work on May 31, 2022. He was only 56.
Larry was born October 5, 1965, in Wausau to Herman and Evangeline (Seehafer) Baumann. At 17, he began working for Hsu’s Ginseng. He was a dedicated worker there for 39 years and enjoyed what he did. He enjoyed going Up North and attending balloon and lumberjack festivals as well as steam engine shows. He liked going for walks and taking trips to casinos and landmarks. Larry loved to eat- especially breakfast with his brother and a Friday night fish fry with his mom. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed a playing a round with friends Mark Trapp and Dave Throp. More than anything, Larry loved fishing and hunting. He never saw anything bad in anyone. He loved to laugh and was known for always lending a hand.
Larry is survived by his mom Evangeline Baumann; sisters Janice Nitzsche and Karen (Mark Trapp) Baumann; brother Jerry Baumann; nephews Danny (Emily) Baumann and Jason Nitzsche and dog Hooch; nieces Jenny (Andrew) Wagner and Amy (Tyler) Martin; brother-in-law Harry Burgoyne; friend Joey Stoklas; and feline friend Carly. He is preceded in death by his dad, Herman; sister Nancy Burgoyne; and grandparents.
A memorial service will take place Friday, June 10, 2022, at 6:00 pm at Brainard Funeral Home- Wausau Chapel, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of service.
