Larry Seidler

August 21, 1951 — December 13, 2018

Larry E. Seidler, 67, passed away at his home under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He was born August 21, 1951 to the late Ervin and Loretta (Johnson) Seidler in Wausau. He graduated from Wausau High School in 1970, and married Jean Miller on May 22, 1976.

Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Germany. He retired from a 32-year career at American Wood Fibers.

He enjoyed halibut and salmon fishing in Alaska, deer hunting, and was an avid bowler. Larry would do anything for anyone – often changing his plans to just help others. To his family, he was Mr. Fix-It and had an incomparable sense of humor. Many memories were made while Larry and his family built their cabin together up north. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. His smile will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jean; sons Chris Seidler and Jason Skilling; daughters, Jenny (Paul) Hantz and Toni Skilling; siblings, Jim (Barb) Seidler, Sarah (Greg) Falk, and Mike (Chrissy) Seidler; as well as three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ken and Tom Seidler.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Brainard Funeral Home – Wausau Chapel, 522 Adams Street, Wausau. Rev. Wes Jedras will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by American Legion Montgomery-Plant-Dudley Post 10 and the United States Army.
