May 20, 1958 - November 11, 2017 Lou Kinjerski, 59 of Schofield passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at Ministry Saint Clare's, Weston after a courageous fight with cancer. Louis was born to parents Joe and Mabel (Smidel) Kinjerski of Kewaunee, WI. He attended Holy Rosary Elementary School and graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1976. He had two beloved children, his son, Eric (Jenny) of Algoma, and his daughter Shannon. He moved to Schofield, WI in 1989 after falling in love, and married Linda (Olson) Glentis on May 27th, 1994; in celebration, they exchanged vows for a second time July 23, 1994. Louie embraced Linda's three wonderful children as his own; Aaron (Leah) Lewandoski of Whitefish Bay, Angela Dees of Weston, and Amy (Mike) Korpela of Weston. Family was his top priority. Lou was patient, giving, thoughtful, and taught the value of hard work and the appreciation for others. Over the years the family grew and Lou became "Papa Lou" and Papa adored and cherished each of his eight beautiful grandchildren. Corbin and Keller Kinjerski of Algoma, Abby and Brody Lewandoski of Whitefish Bay, Lilly and Lilah Dees of Weston, and Hayden and Bennett Korpela of Weston. Lou always had room for a grandchild to snuggle on his lap in his favorite chair, which was known to the grandkids as "Papa's chair". His family also consisted of strong and supportive brothers and sisters who were there whenever he needed them, Gloria (Greg) Habeck of Kewaunee; Bill (special friend Shirley Kust) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; Dan (Pam) Kinjerski of Wausaukee; Gary (Lynn) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; Roger (Dionne) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; Richard (Chris) Kinjerski of Mishicot; Ron (Joanne) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; Wayne (Dawn) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; Dean (Tina) Kinjerski of Kewaunee; and his brother in-law Charlie Rohr of Kewaunee. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, all who he held a special place in his heart. Louie was preceded in death by his father, Joseph I. Kinjerski; sister, Jane (Charlie) Rohr; and his precious daughter, Shannon Jade Kinjerski. Over the years Lou drove semi-truck, was a general laborer, and worked in maintenance or servicing at Kewaunee Bottling Company, Vollrath Company, Warehousing of Wisconsin, Granite Peak and lastly Service Master. In his early days he enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and participating in the demolition derbies as part of the Kewaunee County Fair celebrations. Later in life Lou kept busy fixing, remodeling, and building anything from small crafts as part of a small home business with his wife; to larger projects such as the backyard gazebo. He will be remembered as an amazing host who would fire up the grill for BBQ's where friends and family gathered. Many memories were made around the fire pit under the stars sharing stories and laughter. Lou's door was always open to everyone who wanted to stop by and say hello, where he would greet you with a cold beverage to enjoy.
