Lynn Mary Toivonen passed away on February 3rd with her beloved "Snoopy Dog" in her arms, at Mount View Care Center in Wausau. She was under the care of Heartland Hospice and her amazing third floor staff.
Lynn was born in Wausau on February 21st, 1959, to Robert and Joan (Gisselman) Toivonen. Lynn faced numerous struggles in life but also found many ways to be happy. She resided with her family at home, Northern Colony, Hillcrest and Heather Street Group Homes and then at Mount View Care Center until her passing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Toivonen and sister Julie (Toivonen)Wiegel. Surviving are her mother Joan Toivonen, Wausau; sister and brother-in-law Ann (Peter) Henkes of brother-in-law Jason Wiegel of Mosinee and niece Megan (Wiegel) Harris and her husband Dominique Harris and their children Ella and Ben of Manitowoc. Also surviving are one aunt and uncle, Sharon and Gerald Gisselman of Wausau and many cousins.
A private graveside service will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemtery. Any memorials can be directed to a charity of your choice.
Lynn's family would like to thank her caregivers at North Central Healthcare over the years, as well as Heartland Hospice.
Those we love can never be more than a thought away, for as long as there is a memory, they live in our hearts to stay.
