Marguerite “Peggy” Raasch

Marguerite “Peggy” Raasch, 70, of Rothschild passed away Wednesday January 26, 2022 peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after a short battle with cancer.
Peggy was born February 10, 1951, daughter of the late Richard Abel and Ina (Saunders) Martin. On September 20, 1969, she married Richard “Dick” Raasch in Wausau. He preceded her in death.
She was employed with McDonalds in Schofield over 25 years and later with the Kocourek Automotive Group for over 20 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Shayna, Brenna and Cooper Raasch and Charlotte Hornung. She could always be found cooking for her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Ina Martin, children, Kimberly Raasch, Rothschild, Keith “Butch” (Michelle Millikin) Raasch, Rothschild, Kristin (Jeremy) Hornung, Ringle. Her grandchildren Charlotte Hornung, Shayna, Brenna, and Cooper Raasch, along their mother Stephanie (Kevin) Ostrowski. Siblings Richard (Jean) Abel, Cheryl (Robert) Baumgart, Mary Jozwiak, Connie (John) Roselius, John Abel, Jennifer (Thomas) Roselius, and Michael Abel.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her father Richard, in-laws Roland and Germaine Raasch and stepfather John Martin.
Visitation will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 3 pm - 5 pm at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. Funeral Services will be at 5 pm . The Rev Greg Bohren will officiate. The Brainard Funeral Home, Weston is assisting with arrangements.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital in Peggy’s name. This was a charity near to her heart.
A huge thank you to Dr. Erik Anderson for his exceptionally compassionate care that allowed Peggy to remain in her home surrounded by her family until her passing.
