Mary F. Laughnan, 83 of Schofield, passed away on November 30, 2024 at Pine Meadows. She was born on March 6, 1941 in Wausau. The Daughter of Elmer and Imogene (Wendorf) Edler.
Mary was the heart and home of our family. Together with her husband Fred of 50 years they raised three children, Daniel, (Tricia) Patrick and Pamela (Fred). Their grandchildren brought great joy to her life and Mary could often be found in their company. Michael (Lisa), Christopher (Brianna) Matthew and EJ (Taylor). In more recent years her great grandkids made her smile and warmed her heart. Serenity, Liana, Rylyn, Sawyer, Isabella, Mason and Carson, and along with good friend Ruby.
She was always there for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to offer support, wisdom, and love. She spent her life making others happy as that is what made her happy in return. Mary loved interior decorating and her home always looked like a page out of Better home and Gardens. She also had a special touch for fashion and made sure her family and her self always looked their best. Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Mary on Friday Dec 6, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Aspirus Hospice team and the staff at Pine Meadows for the compassionate care they showed mom.

Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandma too,
This is the legacy We have from you.
You TAUGHT US LOVE and how to fight,
You gave us strength, you gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were ALWAYS KIND.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all us you gave your best
Now the time has come for you to rest,
So go in peace, you've earned your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll
Eternally keep.
