Paul G. Marquardt, 76, of Wausau, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Mount View Nursing Home in Wausau.
Paul was born May 4, 1942 in Wausau, son of the late George and Marguerite Marquardt.
Paul was active in St. John Lutheran Church in Town of Maine. He served as Sunday School teacher and Secretary of Church Council. He also was a member of the Maine 4-H club and became a Junior Leader. In 1960, he graduated from Wausau Senior High School and then attended Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa. In 1964, he enlisted in the US Air Force. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he returned home and helped his parents on the family dairy operation. In 1980, he purchased the family dairy farm, and later, he worked at Kolbe Millwork, in Wausau, WI.
Paul is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Kathleen) Marquardt, Town of Hamburg, and one niece, Heather (David Kinney) Marquardt, Wausau.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Town of Maine. Rev. Dan Sire will officiate. Burial will follow immediately after the service at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service all at the Church.
