Robert Karl

Robert J. Karl, 92, of Rothschild, passed away peacefully at his home on August 13, 2017. A lifelong resident of Rothschild, Bob was born December 7, 1924 to the late Frederick and Jesse (Varo) Karl. He graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and worked as a service technician for Sears Roebuck. On July 2, 1949, Bob married his one true love, Florence Eickemeyer, who preceded him in death on June 11, 2015. Robert loved his model railroad, fishing, hunting, his Green Bay Packers, and traveling by car around the United States with his wife, Florence. Robert is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Russell Karl, and sisters Marilyn Eggebrecht and Jane Karl. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Brainard Funeral Home- Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith in Action, 630 Adams St, Wausau, WI 54403 and Zion Lutheran Church, 709 N 6th St, Wausau, WI 54403.
