Robert "Bob" Rybarczyk, 79, of Schofield, passed away on July 7, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital with his loving family at his side. Bob was born in Wausau on February 20, 1938 to the late Henry and Helen (Letarski) Rybarczyk. He married the love of his life Gloria Oleson on June 24, 1961 in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Bob served his Country honorably in the United States Army. He enjoyed golfing, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers. He also enjoyed spending time at the casino. He was a member of the Optimist Club, Kiwanis Golden K Club, and served as president for the South Area Business Association. Bob was president of the Rib Mountain Metro Sewage District and was very active in politics; running twice for a seat in the State Senate. Bob was best known in the community for his involvement in real-estate. He founded Coldwell Banker Action in 1970. He was president of the Wausau Board of Realtors, served on the Wisconsin real-estate examining board, and was named realtor of the year. Bob founded and taught real-estate classes, as well as started a property management company that he ran until the time of his death. Bob was best known by those who knew and loved him for his great sense of humor and one liners and his dedication to his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was his grandchildren's biggest fan. Survivors include his wife, Gloria; his son, Robert (Kris) and daughter, Dawn (David); grandchildren, Jake, Adam, Chad and Josie. He is further survived by his brother's, Ron (Mary) and Gary as well as several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Richard. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 903 Third Street, Wausau. The Rev. McIntosh will officiate. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. A celebration of Bob's life will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the City Grill and Bistro, 203 Jefferson Street, Wausau. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bob's honor to Bridge Community Health Clinic or the Neighbors Place.
