Rodney Zahrt

Rodney M. Zahrt, 54, of Wausau, passed away on August 4, 2017. Rodney was born on April 26, 1963 to Wilton and Jean (Winter) Zahrt in Wausau. He married Linda Nigbur in Wausau and they raised their daughter Taylor. Rodney was a long-time employee of Kolbe and Kolbe, having worked there for 27 and a half years. He enjoyed woodworking projects and was an avid deer and pheasant hunter. He loved snowmobiling, water-skiing, fishing, and especially motorcycle riding. Rodney is survived by his daughter, Taylor; mother, Jean Zahrt; brother Harlan (Mary) Zahrt; step-brother, Richard (Jeanne) Zahrt; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton and his grandparents. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on August 11, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 North 6th Street, Wausau. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of services at the church. Burial will follow the service at Pine Grove Cemetery.
