Shirley Riedl

Shirley Ellen (Ziebell) Riedl, 93, of Wausau, passed away June 23, 2017. Shirley was born on December 30, 1923 in Wausau, to the late Emil and Lena (Petzold) Ziebell. She married Walter Riedl on July 15, 1950. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ellen Ziebell (Michael Tatman); two grandsons, Chad Ziebell and Shawn (Molly) Ziebell; and four great-grandchildren, Leah, Noah, Asher, and Rachel Ziebell. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Lena; husband, Walter; sister, Ruth; and brother, Richard. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7 at Zion Lutheran Church, 709 N 6th St, Wausau. Rev. Steven K. Gjerde will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. A heartfelt thank you is extended to her living angel, Leah.
