Steven Karl Tyrrill passed away peacefully on his 69th birthday, surrounded by loving family.
He would have appreciated closing out his last trip around the sun in a very peaceful place surrounded by his loved ones. Steve grew up in Chicago and relocated to Wisconsin in 2020. It was time for a change of pace. He traded the view of Lake Michigan and the city skyline for deer in his backyard, cheese curds and summer trips to pick cherries. Steve was a nature enthusiast. He loved the outdoors, conservation, bird watching & recommending his favorite animal shows. Even after he lost partial sight in one eye, he enthusiastically would pull out his monocular to get a better view of the birds. He was the ultimate Chicago Historian and enjoyed telling stories about the city he loved. Simple things brought him a lot of joy in life-a good meal, cooking, watching old Westerns, his Christmas tree (with multiple light settings), color changing porch lights, a good song, Green Acres & the Saturday night ritual of watching Svengoolie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seymour and Diane; his brother-in-law, Bob; and his nephew, Michael.
