William Phillip Bresnahan "Skip", a devoted family man and respected military veteran, passed away peacefully at his residence in Weston, WI on August 9, 2024. Born in Wausau, WI on April 4, 1947, to the late William "Waxie" and Alma "Ollie" Bresnahan.
After graduating from Wausau High School in 1966, William commendably served 30 years of military service between the United States Air Force and United States Navy, achieving the rank of Command Master Chief before his retirement in 1998. Throughout his life, William found joy in golfing, deer hunting, and fishing with his sons. He was an avid viewer of his favorite sports teams, the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers.
Skip leaves behind his loving spouse, Linda Bresnahan, after 51 years of marriage. A proud father to sons Shawn (Julie Heniff-Bresnahan) Bresnahan and Shane (Stephanie Schroeder,Isabella) Bresnahan. A cherished brother of Barb (the late Tom) Kluetz, Mike (Betty), Rory (Lynn) and the late James. Skip is further survived by other relatives and friends throughout his life.
Skip's life will be commemorated by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him on Friday, August 23 at Brainard Funeral Home, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston, with the visitation from 9-11 am. A memorial service to follow at 11 am.
Skip's legacy will endure through the memories he shared with those closest to him, his dedication to his country, and support to his family. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his presence.
